Owen Christofferson is a transit planner and data analyst with the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART), where he analyzes ridership, geospatial, and demographic data, conducts surveys and sampling, manages capital projects, and coordinates the SMART Connect shuttle program. He also supports service planning, station-area planning, transit coordination, and Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC) planning.

He holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University, specializing in transportation planning, with experience in Tribal planning and bicycle and pedestrian planning. Before his career in planning, Owen was actively involved in the transportation labor movement and worked in the shared micromobility sector. He is passionate about equitable, high-quality mobility and envisions a North Bay enriched by an abundance of climate-friendly housing and sustainable transportation options for all.
