Celia Furber is the Community Relations & Sustainability Manager for Recology Sonoma Marin (RSM), and she loves that her career allows her to make an environmental difference one ton at a time. Her department manages the recycle and compost programs, education and outreach, as well as landfill diversion objectives for the communities that RSM serves. Celia has been with RSM since it first began its operations in the North Bay in 2017, and was previously with Recology in Mountain View, CA for five years. Prior to her time with Recology, she implemented plastic bag and polystyrene ordinances for the City of San Jose as well as the City of Menlo Park. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Reuse Alliance, the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber of Commerce, the North Bay Leadership Council, the Sonoma County Solid Waste Task Force, and the Marin County Solid Waste Task Force.
