Brittany Jensen, Executive Director, has worked at the Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District since 2005 when she was hired as an intern while studying at Sonoma State University. Brittany has more than twenty years of experience assisting private and public landowners implement conservation projects, maintaining positive working relationships, fundraising, performing outreach, managing staff, and engaging with the agricultural and environmental community in Sonoma County. Brittany has been instrumental in receiving millions of dollars in grant funding and provides leadership for RCD programs locally and regionally. An ocean going native of Southern California, she is now firmly rooted in Western Sonoma and Marin Counties where she has called her home for the past 25 years. Her strengths include creating and maintaining relationships with diverse constituents, capacity building, program development, and using empathy to be in touch with community needs. She also works as a farmhand alongside her son on her husband’s 6th generation sheep ranch in Tomales. Brittany’s love and dedication to this community, the environment our future will inherit keeps her committed to working hard for this community.
