This event is for young and innovative people who want to create a better future. We want to show you possibilities, stimulations and best practices to engage for a sustainable living. The youth summit will offer information about sustainable organizations in the North Bay and featured representatives will be on site to answer questions about their inspirations and work. You’ll build skills for a career, network with the existing green community and create entrepreneurial opportunities.

Brought to you by the producers of the Sustainable Enterprise Conference, Future Makers Sustainable North Bay Youth Summit on Saturday, May 2 will help you to discover what area of sustainability fits best to your interests and how to put your ideas into action. 

10:00AM – Music, video and beverages

10:30AM – Get inspired by this youth leaders: Meet Lucas Oshun, Aaron Ableman, Kara Kelly, Jenise Granvold and Nelson Lomeli!

11:00AM – “How sustainable companies are changing the world” ~ Dr Robert Girling

11:15AM – Speed Networking Noon – Lunch and Open Space (Meet the Team of SWITCH vehicles) ~ Discuss in groups about the future of entertainment, education, cities and much more while enjoying healthy lunch from Oliver’s.

12:45PM – Edward Quevedo and Ryan Johnston will talk about inspirational career possibilities to work on social, environmental and ecological challenges.

1:15PM – BREAKOUTS ~ Interaction with the youth leaders, Robert Girling, Edward Quevedo, Grace Duyndam, Kellen Watson, Leland Holcomb, The team of SWITCH vehicles, Stephanie Larson and more inspirational personalities

2:15 PM – Social Media Hack ~ Learn about improving your Linked-in profile from Kerry Rego, stay connected and promote actions you support.

2:30PM – Closing and reflections


You’ll hear Dr. Robert Girling from Sonoma State University who is organizer of the SEC and author of the book “The good Company”. The book tells stories of over 20 inspiring companies that do what is right by their employees, their communities and the planet.

The program is designed for those 15 years and older. Supporters, educator, and advocates can attend a separate track to network in open space.

During lunchtime you’ll meet the team of Switch vehicles and have a look at their cars. And of course there will be a lot of music, food and interactions. Take the chance to be a pioneer and be one of the first to attend the annual youth summit.

Doors open at 9.30 A.M. Space is limited so register in advance to ensure attendance. Lunch is included!
