Presentation Suggestion

Our 2018 theme, Play Work Live for a Sustainable Future, celebrates the abundance and beauty of the North Bay. Successful sessions will reveal how a relationship with our ecology builds personal, enterprise, or community resilience.

Our goal is to stimulate discovery of what participants can do to develop sustainable practices in their enterprises, whether business, government, nonprofit or educational.

One Planet Principles

New in 2018! One Planet Cafe.

Inspired by the work of Bioregional and their One Planet Principles, you're invited to lead a 20 minute round table dialog that addresses a topic of community concern. We organize the topics by One Planet Principle, but any topic that builds personal, enterprise, or community resilience will be considered. Table leaders will have 5-7 minutes to frame their topic and begin the conversation. During the day participants will move from table to table finding new collaborators and sharing resources. Inspiring topics might include:

  • Growing our smaller and rural industries
  • Innovations in workforce housing
  • Micro grids and resilient power solutions
  • Financing the future of housing
  • Reducing GHGs in building and building for low carbon lifestyles
  • Parks and Open Spaces

The annual Sustainable Enterprise Conference program offers a variety of presentation formats. New and less experienced speakers are especially encouraged to submit for the One Planet Cafe format.
