Cleantech

Cleantech is a term used to describe knowledge-based products or services that improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste, or pollution. Cleantech companies are directed to development of renewable energy sources such as solar, geothermal, wind, and biofuel as well as companies operating not only to prevent the creation of more greenhouse gases, but those that can foster a clean economy capable of competing with, and eventually overtaking traditional oil-dependent industrial practices.
