Robert Girling is a Professor in the School of Business and Economics at Sonoma State University. He received his Ph. D. from Stanford University and has taught and consulted in 20 different countries. He has also taught at the Federal University of Bahia, the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, the University of the West Indies and American University in Washington D.C. He has consulted with the World Bank, USAID, the United Nations, and the International Center for Research on Women.

Chris regularly writes, develops educational materials and speaks locally on green management issues as former Chair of the San Rafael Chamber’s Green Committee, co-chair of the Sustainable Enterprise Conference Marin (first SEC to be held in Marin on October 26) and former board member of the Marin Conservation League, Marin’s oldest and most influential environmental advocacy/research group.

Terry Garrett has been the co-managing member of Sonoma County GO LOCAL and Sustaining Technologies since 2009. He also serves as a member of the Sonoma County Food System Alliance and as a board member of Sonoma County Economic Development Board and also on its Cannabis Task Force. Prior to his work in local economic development, he published local newsweekly newspapers and magazines, and developed marketing programs for local retailers and restaurants. Currently he is co-publisher of the local food industry magazine, Made Local. Later this fall he with Sustaining Technologies will be launching CRED Magazine and CREDx, an online community exchange for the cannabis sector.

Marika has a MA in Sustainable Development from St Andrews University in Scotland. She is the Programs Director for Schools of Sustainability, a project that runs student filmmaking/sustainability workshops and is making a movie about the future of education. She also consults as a Curriculum Developer at Westminster Woods Environmental Conference Center and is the Sustainability Advisor at Taylor Maid Farms.

Larry grew up in a farming family in Arkansas that had a strong commitment to land stewardship and conservation. This deeply ingrained value has guided his work and career. In 1986, with funding from Hands Across America, he engaged the city of Little Rock, Arkansas to create a "Strategic Plan to End Hunger and Homelessness in 10 years." The Hunger Project then asked him to lead their People-to-people Initiative, a project to generate the conversation for "Taking care of our own in the United States." This led to working in England and Kenya to implement environmentally sustainable technologies in the industrial development process.

Mark Westwind is a passionate community organizer. He is currently an advisor for Sustainable Contra Costa and President of Earth Team, an East Bay youth organization. Over the last 40 years, he founded/co-founded over a dozen community organizations. Professionally, Mark is a business and technology consultant with over 20 years experience working with start-up entrepreneurs and business incubators. He co-authored "What Makes Silicon Valley Tick?", a highly praised analysis of the Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem, with the late Dr. Tapan Munroe (former Chief Economist for PG&E). Mark is a Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Catalyst and One Planet Living Integrator. In October 2016, Mark produced the first Sustainable Enterprise Conference in Contra Costa County.
