Lauren graduated from Regis University, in Denver, Co. with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a B.A. in Peace and Justice Studies. Upon graduating, she delved deeper into environmental issues through her work as an Americorps CivicSpark fellow. The fellowship is a Governor's Intiative AmeriCorps program of the Local Government Commission. Through CivicSpark she worked for the County of Sonoma, Energy and Sustainability Division, on initiatives to mitigate climate change. Following the CivicSpark fellowship, Lauren stayed with the Energy and Sustainability Division and primarily works with businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water, prevent pollution and divert waste. Lauren is passionate about conserving natural resources and creating resilient communities.
