Julien Gervreau

Julien Gervreau is a Sonoma County, California native who has been involved in all aspects of the wine industry, from production and operations to marketing and sales. In his role as Director of Sustainability at Jackson Family Wines, Julien sets strategy for and oversees the day-to-day operation of JFW’s Sustainability Department, with focus areas that include water and energy efficiency, onsite renewable energy generation, GHG emissions reductions, and waste diversion. He is also responsible for communicating JFW’s commitment to sustainability in the marketplace through sales and distribution channels, as well as activating employee engagement.

Julien is passionate about designing, developing and managing sustainable business systems that enhance the triple bottom line of economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equitability in each project he undertakes. He employs integrated systems thinking, rigorous financial analysis and documented sustainability frameworks to guide business strategy that fosters healthy, more resilient entities, and drives operational savings.

Julien holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, CA and a BA in Anthropology and History from Connecticut College in New London, CT.
