Maureen Sedonaen

Social Impact Leader

I am currently working as an advisor, thought leader, strategist and consultant to social impact businesses, government initiatives, organizations and foundations in the non-profit and for profit arenas. Bringing to bear my deep industry knowledge and a 30-year network of relationships and leadership experience, I am supporting organizations to integrate technology and evidence based best practices, lessons learned and critical insights for building successful collaborative, complex multi-sector partnerships. Through coaching and consulting, I have been engaged in writing expansive fund development plans, as well as business and leveraged resource development plans. I have a strong background in social enterprise, workforce development, education, public health, philanthropy and civic engagement building the capacity of 100’s of community groups, foundations, schools and governmental agencies across the United States and abroad.

I am an effective key note speaker, trainer and facilitator in a wide range of interconnected topics including environmental issues, prevention, education reform, health and mental health, leadership and entrepreneurship.  I have significant experience leading complex organizations and have designed and been the chief architect on local, state and national community based, solution oriented strategies to improve educational, health and work skills and build the capacity of community stakeholders. I provide high level facilitation, convening and meeting management support.  I have deep experience in strategic planning, building organizational impact and evaluation plans and analyzing and building successful program development, design and strategy frameworks.

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, I served for 3 years as the President and CEO of Goodwill SF- Marin- San Mateo, a leading social enterprise transforming people’s lives through the power of work.

I serve on the Board of Directors of the Marin Community Foundation, The Agricultural Institute of Marin, The Youth Leadership Institute and the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership. I am a key advisor to WISE SV, a joint Silicon Valley venture backed, social impact business between two non- profits, Job Train and CALSO.  In the Fall of 2015, I was named as one the Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area.
