As Executive Director Amee is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the SoCo Nexus mission from fundraising and strategy, to hiring, development, fiscal reporting, financial projections, and program development. One of her greatest interests is the development of strategic partnerships with businesses, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and government agencies throughout Northern California.Prior to coming to the Nexus, Amee served as Leasing Director for The Barlow redevelopment project in the heart of Sebastopol, a 13 acre wonderland for foodies and people who are intrigued by wine country, the GoLocal movement, the local food movement, and the artisan community in West County. Amee’s hope is to bring the same kind of business cross-pollination and synergy to SoCo Nexus, expanding the organization’s focus on high-tech startups to other growing business sectors such as environmental, food, medical, tourism, manufacturing, and health & wellness.Amee was raised in Santa Rosa and lives on a vineyard and organic farm in west county with her husband and son. She believes that the area is uniquely positioned to foster a wide ranging business culture that can do well by doing good and she is honored to be part of the conversation.
